Message Personalization
What is "e-mail personalization"?
You've received
personalized e-mail before - it addressed you by name, or mentioned specific dates.
AutomateYourList let's you create this type of personalized message using a variety
of variables. When the system sends your message, it finds each variable, and
replaces it with information pertaining directly to each of your leads. This way
you can write just one message, and have Lenny Lead read a message that opens
with "Dear Lenny Lead," while Lester Leadson reads a message that opens with "Dear
Lester Leadson."
Names are only the beginning of AutomateYourList's
personalization features. In addition to full, first, and last names, you can
add e-mail addresses, dates, ad category, and extra remove links with personalization.
For detailed instructions, login to your customer control panel
from the
main AutomateYourList page.

Why should I
personalize my AutomateYourList messages?
Do you open and read postal mail
that comes to you addressed "Current Resident"? Not likely. Much of the power
of personalization lies in the fact that people are simply more likely to read
e-mail that addresses them by name.
Also important is the fact that
personalization features help make your messages more useful to your leads.
Take, for instance, the case of Carrie Customer and her mailing list. Carrie
found that, when people on her mailing list had questions about their subscriptions,
they often couldn't give Carrie the information she needed to help them. So, Carrie
added several lines to the bottom of each message listing subscription information
for each lead.
Now, when Sam Subscriber needs to make changes to
his subscription, all the information he needs is right at the bottom of the last
message he received from Carrie:

Can
the system correct the capitalization of my leads' names?
Yes! The AutomateYourList
system can correct the capitalization of most leads' full, first, and last names.
For instance, if your lead entered his name on your web form as:
LENNY LEAD, lenny lead, or LeNnY LeaD
Then the AutomateYourList system
can correct that name, so that the lead receives email from you addressing him
as the much more professional:

Can
I add my leads' names to my AutomateYourList messages?
Yes! Using AutomateYourList's
personalization feature, you can set your messages up to address each of your
leads by name.
AutomateYourList allows you to use your lead's full,
first, or last name. You can even have the system attempt to correct the capitalization
of your leads' names.

Can I insert
a remove link at the beginning of my AutomateYourList messages?
Yes! Using
AutomateYourList's personalization feature, you can include extra remove links
in your messages. (Note that a remove link will always appear at the end of your
messages, even if you also use this personalization feature to place extra links
elsewhere.)
